Rumours consists of seasoned professionals Â with years of collective experience and a host of Australian Bridal Industry Academy Awards, including having recently been nominated Australia’s No.3 band for 2015 at the National ABIA Awards.Â
The members, each having managed successful function bands over the past 10-15 years, have also worked together at various times over the years. Through these occasions, they realised that between them, they had that special ‘on-stage chemistry’ that just couldn’t be ignored. They also found that they shared a common work ethic and commitment to providing the highest level of all-round service. Rumours Band prides itsef in delivering great musicianship, great vocals, great entertainment, attention to detail, and all those extra little touches each and every time.
Between them, the band members have won 11 Australian Bridal Industry Awards, in the fields of: Live Entertainment in Melbourne, as well as “Master of Ceremonies” and “Ceremony Music”, and have been either Winners or Runner up in at least one of these categories for 10 Â years running. The Australian Bridal Industry Awards (ABIA’s) are voted exclusively by Brides & Grooms!Â
The band offers an exceptional level of musicianship, outstanding male & female vocals, duets and harmonies, a Huge repertoire that covers all music styles to suit all ages and tastes, and those little special touches like punctuality, professionalism, attention to detail and the commitment to working together with you, to ensure your function is the successful event that you want it to be.
The Trio is Â the “Core” part of the band. However Rumours is perhaps Melbourne’s most versatile Entertainment outft, offering a completely flexible line-up to suit any function size, budget or requirement – right up to a Â “LIVE” Â 6-7 Piece Band, and everything in between. When you choose to book Rumours, we consult with you to determine the stage space, guest size and your budget – to offer you a range of Entertainment options that will suit your function perfectly.
We arrive at 2 hours prior to function start time, to ensure that everything is set-up sound-checked and ready to go by the time your guests start to arrive.
Our dress code is strictly elegant and upmarket (unless otherwise requested) and we are happy to consult with you to ensure that we blend in with the theme of the occasion. Our manner when dealing with Guests and Venue staff on the night is always courteous, polite, friendly and accommodating.
ALL OUR ENTERTAINMENT OPTIONS INCLUDE STATE-OF-THE-ART P.A. FOR OUTSTANDING SOUND QUALITY, AND AMPLE HIGH-QUALITY LIGHTING FOR STAGE, PLUS DANCE FLOOR LIGHTING EFFECTS SUCH AS WAVE, LASER AND SMOKE,
